Helping Busy Families Create Calm, Organised Homes

Hands-on support to get clutter under control, simplify daily life and make your home more manageable.

Based in Kilcock, serving clients in the surrounding areas across Kildare, Meath and Dublin.

You don’t need matching bins. You need a home that’s easier to live in.

A home where you can find what you need in seconds, welcome guests without panic and spend less time tidying and cleaning because everything has a place.

Organising a home isn’t about having fancy containers and systems. It’s about feeling less overwhelmed and in control of your space, having simple systems in place, and reducing the mental load of everyday life.

In real homes, clutter builds up while families are being raised, memories are being made and everyday life is happening. Add in work, household chores and life admin, and it’s easy to see how a once-manageable home can start to feel overwhelming.

You don’t have to do it alone.

If you’ve ever looked at a cluttered room and thought, “I don’t even know where to start,” you’re not alone. Almost every client says exactly the same thing.

Having someone by your side with a clear plan makes the whole process feel so much easier and less stressful. I’ll help you work through decisions, identify the items that no longer serve you and handle sentimental belongings with care. There’s never any pressure to part with anything – every decision is yours, with practical guidance and support whenever you need it.

The result is a home with more space for both the things you use every day and the things that truly matter, so you can spend less time managing your home and more time enjoying your hobbies and the memories you’ve chosen to keep.

And with your permission, I can take donations away at the end of a session, so you can enjoy immediate, visible progress without another trip or another task added to your to-do list.

Photo Organising

Too often, treasured family photos become another source of clutter instead of a source of joy. As a certified professional photo organiser, I can help you organise, scan and digitise your collection so your memories are easy to find, enjoy and share.

How It Works

Step 1: Free 20-Minute Consultation

We discuss what you need, what’s overwhelming you and how I can help. Every organising project begins with a quick 20-minute consultation — by phone or Zoom, whichever you prefer. It’s a chance to talk through what you need and how I can support you.

Step 2: Personalised Plan

Together, we agree on a clear, simple plan tailored to your goals and your home. We usually begin with one room or focused area to make meaningful progress straight away, and then decide together how to move forward from there.

Step 3: Organising

I come to your home and work with you to declutter, organise and put simple systems in place that bring clarity and ease to your space.

With your permission, I can also take decluttered items with me and donate them on your behalf, so you can see clear results straight away.

Pricing

Home organising sessions are €190 for a 4-hour session.

Sessions are designed to allow enough time to make meaningful progress without feeling overwhelming.

You’ll receive an invoice after each session.

Meet Tanja

I’m Tanja McIlroy, a professional home and photo organiser based in Kilcock.

I work with busy, everyday families — not perfect homes — to create spaces that genuinely work.

With a background in early childhood education and a lifelong love of order and meaningful memories, I support families in creating homes and photo collections that feel lighter, calmer and easier to enjoy.

I am a Certified Photo Manager, trained through a global community of professional photo organisers, and I work to recognise best practices for organising, preserving and caring for family photos.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a session last?

Sessions are 4 hours long, which allows us to make meaningful progress without feeling overwhelmed.

Will you make me get rid of things?

No. I will offer guidance and advice, but every decision is yours. My role is to make the process easier.

Do I need to be home during the session?

For most projects, yes — especially when making decluttering decisions. Once systems are established, some organising tasks can be done independently if preferred.

Can you remove rubbish or donations for me?

I can help you sort and bag items, getting them ready for you to dispose of; however, regulations in Ireland mean I cannot remove waste on your behalf.

With permission, I can take clothing and some household items to donate them on your behalf.

Will you organise the whole house or just one room?

Whatever you need. Some clients start with one small area; others want a full-home refresh. We’ll create a plan that feels manageable for you.

Do you provide storage solutions?

I work with what you already have wherever possible and can recommend or source suitable storage items if needed. The average home already has plenty to work with.

What if I have ADHD, chronic illness or limited mobility?

I work at your pace and adapt the process to ensure it feels manageable and supportive for you. Rest assured, there will be no judgment, only practical help.

What if I’m uncomfortable about the state of my home?

There’s no need to worry. I work with everyday families and regular people, and clutter is a normal part of life. My role is simply to help you bring order and clarity to your space.
