Meet Tanja McIlroy
I’m originally from South Africa, where I spent more than a decade as an early childhood teacher before creating my website, Empowered Parents, which I still run today.
After moving to Ireland, I followed my long-standing love of order and organisation and expanded my work to include home organising.
I am also a Certified Photo Manager, trained through a global community of professional photo organisers, and I work to recognise best practices for organising, preserving and caring for family photos.
I’ve always believed that our homes and our memories shape how we feel. When our spaces and belongings are in chaos, it affects everything else — our energy, our focus and even our ability to enjoy the moments that matter.
Family Roots Organising was created to help people feel calmer, more in control and more connected to the things that matter most.
Whether I’m creating order in a bedroom, making sense of paperwork or organising generations of printed photos, my goal is the same: to bring clarity to your home and help you enjoy your memories again.
